Dung Quat Economic Zone is located at the half-way point of Vietnam, based on the Key Economic Aresa of Central Vietnam, with the total area of 45.000 ha. The multi-functional Economic of Dung Quat is designated for diversified investment fields, especially large-scaled and  heavy industrial projects…in combination developing Dung Quat deep-sea ports system, Chu Lai airport. The infrastructure system of the zone has been invested basically including the main roads in Van Tuong urban area and industrial parks; Seaport system (3 general ports, 4 specialized ports); Rainwater drainage system and wastewater collection and treatment; Solid waste treatment area; Power supply, water supply, post and telecommunication, fire protection; College of technology; hospital; TV, culture, sports center, Van Tuong forest and resettlement areas, … so far, Dung Quat Economic Zone have attracted over 10.2 billion USD, of which implemented capital has reached 6 billion USD.

In addition, Quang Ngai also has industrial zones such as Tinh Phong, Quang Phu, Pho Phong with the total area of over 540ha. Quang Ngai Industrial Parks have attracted 99 investment projects with registered capital of VND 6,877 billion.

Overcoming the difficulties and challenges, Dung Quat Ecoonomic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks have achieved positive results, confirming the nuclear growth role for the socio-economy of Quang Ngai Province when contributing about 90% of industrial output, export turnover and budget revenue of the province. This is the driving force for Dung Quat EZ and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones to gradually become the growth nucleus, the center of urban – industry – service of the key economic of Central Vietnam.

Currently, with the emergence of many new factors, Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks  enter a new phase of development confidentally. Speeding up the implementation of large-scale projects such as Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex, Dung Quat Industrial Town, Dung Quat Oil Refinery; projects in the field of electricity and gas, toghether with the improved investment and business environment have created opportunities for Dung Quat EZ and Quang Ngai IPs to grow.

In order to create a motive force for Dung Quat EZ and Quang Ngai IPs, apart from the policies and mechanisms applied at the highest level (enterprise income tax, personal income tax, import tax, land …), Quang Ngai province issues policies to support  investment (vocational training, investment promotion, compensation, site clearance, resettlement, investment in technical infrastructure).
